BALLINDAGG­IN STORY HOUSE

The first session of Ballindagg­in Story House of 2019 took place on Thursday night last in Ballindagg­in Hall. A very entertaini­ng night was enjoyed by the many patrons present. The music, songs, recitation­s and tall tales were of the highest calibre.

Votes of sympathy were extended to Etty Kilbride on the death of her sister-in-law Bernie Doran. To Denis Finn on the death of his sister Mona Shortt. To the Deacon family on the death of Jenny and to the Kenny family on the death of Jack. Prayerful good wishes was extended to all who are unwell at present either at home or in hospital.

DANCING

Social dancing in Kiltealy Hall on Friday, January 25, music on the night by K-Jo. Dancing from 9.30 p.m. to midnight, admission €8. This will be the 10th anniversar­y dance and is sure to be a great night of celebratio­ns.

SYMPATHY

Deepest sympathy is extended to Philip Kearney, Curraduff on the recent death of his brother Tom Kearney, Enniscorth­y. Interment took place in St Mary’s Cemetery on Tuesday January 8. May he rest in peace.

SPLIT THE POT

The winner of Kiltealy NS split-the-pot last week was Tess Fitzhenry, who won €285 (double week).

WEDDING BELLS

Congratula­tions to Donna Moore and Shane Kehoe, who were married recently and celebrated with family and friends. Wishing Donna and Shane every happiness for the future.

DUFFRY SOCIAL CLUB

The Duffry Social Club resumes after Christmas break tomorrow, Wednesday, January 16, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. New members are always welcome.
