John O’Neill - Grocery, Newsagents & Delicatessen at Wexford Street, New Ross was established in 1910 and it’s still owned and run by the same family.

While the business has passed down through the generations, it has kept the core values of its founders John and Elizabeth O’Neill, which is to provide their loyal customers with fresh local produce at excellent value with a personal service.

The shop has been run by the original founders Grandson John along with his wife Mary since the early 1960’s and in most recent years by their son and daughters. The business has been extended to include a delicatessen where a variety of fresh wholesome salads are made daily.

This is very much a family business and many of the 5th generation O’Neill children can be seen stacking shelves or behind the counter during their school and college holidays along with great staff who have been with them for many years.

John and Mary along with Pauline, Margaret and Liam would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the support that they have received throughout the years from their staff, great neighbours and loyal customers.

The O’Neill family look forward to serving their local community at the Three Bullet Gate area of New Ross for many more years to come.
