SUSTAINABL­E ENERGY

There will be a general meeting for all interested in the KBCDA Suistainab­le Energy Community on February 17 midday in Shamrock Hall.

Come along also to the Sustainabi­lity Fair on February February 24 midday to 4 p.m. Meet locals in sustainabl­e energy businesses. Test drive an electric vehicle, find out your carbon footprint. Learn about grants for home energy work. There will also be a bouncy castle so come along for a bit of fun and see whats possible.

GAA CLUB NEWS

The dates for the first adult football league games are in. R1 March 9/10. R2 March 16/17. R3 March 23/24. First round in championsh­ip: March 30/31.

ST PATRICKS SPECIAL SCHOOL

Thanks to everybody who supported the Card Drive in Murphys Kilanerin in aid of St Patrick’s Special School Enniscorth­y recently. Thanks to everybody who donated raffle prizes, bought tickets or played cards on the night. Thanks to Noel and Emi for their hospitalit­y on the night. A total of €1,705 was raised.

KILANERIN ICA

Kilanerin Ica February meeting is on Monday the 11th at 8 p.m. The speaker is Mary Murphy from Coilte Beag Design and her talk will begin at 9.30 everyone is welcome. February competitio­n is a Valentine Verse. Pilates continues on Tuesday evening from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. €6 per class.

Morning Mass Tuesday and Friday 9.30 a.m. Saturday 6.30 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. anniversar­y Mass Mick and Alice Bolger Hollyfort Eucharisti­c adoration on Tuesday from after morning Mass to 9 p.m.

WHIST

First lady was Eileen Furlong, second lady was Sadie Mordaunt and half time lady was May Murphy. First gent was shared by Pat Whelan and Peg Byrne and half time gent was shared by Micheál Murphy and Mary McCarthy. Raffle winners were Mary McCarthy, May Murphy and Pat Whelan. Whist continues on Wednesday night at 8.30 p.m.

BALLYFAD CHURCH

OPPORTUINT­Y KNOCKS

Due to popular demand we have had to add an extra night to our programme with preliminar­y rounds on Friday, February 15, and 22 with the final now taking place on Friday, March 1, There are a limited number of spaces available for the third preliminar­y round on Friday the 22nd so give Helen a call asap at 087 6429291.

Thanks to everybody who supported our Charity Night on February 1 in aid of St Aidan’s Day Care Services. Special thanks to everybody who gave so freely of their time to perform for us on stage, It was a very enjoyable night with an amount in of €1,500 being raised for St Aidan’s.

Kilanerin Men Shed is in the early stages and are looking for any unwanted hand and or power tools that might be useful to the group If there are any pieces in the shed taking up space please contact Dave on 08 seven 4191947 and he can arrange for collection.

FRIENDS OF GOREY HOSPITAL
