COMMUNITY ALERT

The local Community Alert group are appealing to everyone in our local area to be on the lookout for their neighbours, especially those who may be living alone or are senior citizens who may need a helping hand in trying to get some shopping done, the offer of a lift to the local shop might make a huge difference, or maybe a visit for a short chat could go a long way, to help keep that fear of loneliness away.

BIRTHDAYS

Birthday greetings to Faye Keogh, Moneyribbon, who celebrates her fourth birthday on Tuesday, February 12. Also birthday greetings and good wishes to Rhys Kennedy Ivers, Coolgreany, who celebrates his seventh birthday on Friday, February 15.

BALLYFAD CEMETERY

Because of the fact that a large amount of waste is being left and thrown over the school wall and ditches, it is becoming necessary to install CCTV Cameras in the area. The Cemetery Committee are appealing to everyone who uses the cemetery to bring home their waste cuttings and dead flowers etc, and respect and help keep the cemetery clean.

HANDBALL

The committee of the local Handball Club are appealing to everyone who uses or want to support the handball club to buy some of our lotto Tickets from any members of the club, who have tickets for sale. Unfortunately they are not now available at the post office since it closed last week.
