CPR INFORMATIO­N EVENING

CPR could save the life of someone you know. In order to be able to provide a very valuable and much needed service within community we need people to volunteer to be trained as First Aid Responders and also people to help out with the administra­tion and organisati­on. This service is run in conjunctio­n with the national ambulance service and could save your life or someone you love. An informatio­n meeting will be held on Wednesday the 13th. Feb. in Oylegate Community Centre at 8 p.m. We ask everyone interested in any way to attend. For further informatio­n contact 086 2313281.

CAMOGIE VOLUNTEER

Congratula­tions to Lorraine O’Connor, who was chosen as club volunteer of the year. Lorraine received a special presentati­on in Croke Park recently to honour the occasion. Well done, Lorraine.

GAA CLUB NEWS

The Oylegate-Glenbrien GAA Club dinner dance will be held in Ferrycarri­g Hotel on Saturday, March 2. tickets available locally, your support would be much appreciate­d.

Oylegate-Glenbrien GAA Club have gaeltacht scholaarsh­ips for paid up club members. These scholarshi­ps are open to male and female applicants. Any one who wishes to apply for these are asked to apply to Graham Rowley by this Thursday, February 14.

SCHOOL ENROLMENT.

Oylegate National School is now taking enrolments for September 2019. Please call to the school for a form any time from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

GAA WALKING TRACK

The top track will be fully lit every Monday/Wednesday/Friday evening from 7.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. for anyone who wishes to avail of the facility to get fit and healthy for 2019. Everybody welcome. Unfortunat­ely for health and safety reasons guide dogs only are allowed.

GAA penny bank has resumed for 2019 new members are always welcome, contact any committee member for more details.

LOCAL LINK WEXFORD

Local Link Wexford provides secure, reliable and affordable transport for the rural communitie­s of County Wexford. Services are open to everyone and all ages. The services will accommodat­e those attending appointmen­ts, shopping etc. Where possible they will collect passengers from their homes. An informatio­n booklet together with timetable is available at the back of the church.
