Killanne Church will be the venue for music lovers from all over the county next Saturday evening, February 23, when the highly regarded St Canice’s Cathedral Choir from Kilkenny will perform a wonderful selection of sacred music from over five centuries of Christian worship.

Some members of the choir have family and other connections with Killanne church and they very graciously decided to offer their services at this event in order to raise funds for the church.

The choir will be accompanied by Malcolm Proud – an organist of international acclaim – and all will be under the baton of David Forde, the choir’s exceptionally gifted musical director.

Tickets are available for this unique event at the very reasonable price of €10 each, and includes admission to a wine and cheese reception after the concert.

Tickets can be purchased from parishioners or at the door on the night.

Killanne church is situated on the Rathnure to Kiltealy road, turning left at Rackard’s Pub. The concert starts at 7.30 p.m. and everyone is welcome to attend.
