HISTORY REPEATED AS CHLOE AND MARK FOLLOW IN PARENTS’ FOOTSTEPS
IT was a case of history repeating itself for a local couple when they held their wedding reception in the same venue that both their respective parents did.
Chloe Murphy, from Boolavogue, and Mark Rossiter, from Pearse Road, Enniscorthy, recently tied the knot in St Cormac’s Church, Boolavogue.
They had their reception in the Upton Court Hotel, Kilmuckridge, and what made the day all the more special was the fact that venue was where their parents also had their wedding receptions - although it was then called the Hydro.
To mark that fact, in addition to their own wedding cake - which was made by Mark’s mam, Winnie - the happy couple also had a 40th wedding anniversary cake for Mark’s parents, Winnie and John Rossiter, and a 35th wedding anniversary cake for her Chloe’s parents, Pauline and Jimmy Murphy.
While the wedding day itself was fantastic for all concerned marking the two anniversaries, in the same venue, made the overall event all the more special for everyone present.
