Vintage support for Pieta House

-

THE members of a local vintage club showcased their charitable nature by handing over a cheque for €10,657 to Pieta House.

The ‘Light Up the Night’ run was organised by Oylegate Vintage Club and the money raised from it was presented to representatives of Pieta House at a handover ceremony in the local community centre.

Speaking to this newspaper the Chairperson of the club, Henry Cosgrave, said it was a great success with over 240 vehicles taking part.

He thanked everyone involved in making the event a great event and acknowledged the members of other vintage clubs and organisations who gave their support to the initiative.

‘It actually turned into a community effort and now everyone is looking forward to doing it all again next December,’ he said.

Mr Cosgrave said plans are already underway with regard to the next run.
