How our four leaders are getting on with their training regimes

-

LIAM DOYLE

So heading into our eighth week now and the new training schedule is going well but the hills I’m finding tough, my long distance running has improved dramatically though. I was at pilates again on Tuesday with Jane in Wexford Pilates Studio and on Thursday we will meet Martina our nutritionist for our weigh in. Hope you’re all following the plan.

CAROLINE FLEMING

I’m on a few days holidays this week which I had booked before I took on this challenge. Yesterday I did a 7k run along the promenade it was the first time I’ve ever managed to get that distance I was thrilled with myself. This morning we went on a cliff walk from Puerto del Carmen to Puerto Calero. Kevin had said to try and start tackling the hills and there are plenty of them here to do that. Hoping to reach my target of an 8k run before I get home.

HELEN RYAN

We were in Nolan’s Gym with Kevin on Saturday for a really tough but enjoyable training session, great to see how far we’ve come on our fitness.

I missed out three days’ training due to a tummy bug which is

disheartening as I feel I’m playing catch up but here’s hoping I’ll be able to go full throttle this week at the training!

DENISE FARRELL

We are mid point and I feel I lost my motivation this week.

The important thing is to keep going.

I need to focus on the training and up the intensity. Only six weeks to go.
