PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES – The annual Ferns Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes takes place from May 11 to May 16. Applicatio­n forms for places on the regular pilgrimage are available at the back of the church. Should you wish to travel with the assisted pilgrims you can obtain an applicatio­n form from Fr Richard or Fr Felix. Completed applicatio­n forms for the Assisted Pilgrims must be returned by March 1.

CRAANFORD PARISH COMMUNION PROGRAMME – The children of Second Class in St Patrick’s National School will attend at Mass on Sunday, March 3, at 10.30 a.m. We keep them in our prayers as they continue in their preparatio­n for the reception of First Holy Communion.

CRAANFORD PARISH CERTIFICAT­ES – The sister dioceses of Ferns, Ossory and Kildare and Leighlin have together employed a Data Protection Officer, Ms Noreen Reynolds, based in Bishops House, Kilkenny. Her duty is to ensure that all parishes of our dioceses are compliant with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation­s) of the European Union. In this era of increased harvesting of personal data it is necessary to ensure its proper use.

Therefore, in future, and to ensure such compliance, all requests for Craanford parish certificat­es (baptism, Confirmati­on, Marriage) must be made in person to Craanford parish office on Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 9 a.m. to midday (087 3633965 Email craanfordl­ocalnews@gmail.com). Each applicatio­n involves the filling out of a request form and, should you be unknown to us, the presentati­on of personal identifica­tion (Passport, Driver’s License or Public Service Card). A donation of €5 per certificat­e is requested.

The lotto jackpot increase by €100 per week till it is won. Next week’s jackpot is €12,400. Lotto tickets available in Cooney Communicat­ions, Craanford, Donal’s Main Street Gorey or any club member. Tickets may now be collected and dropped back to Cooney Communicat­ions in Craanford by 6 p.m. on Wednesday evening and afterwards into Cooney’s Pub by 9 p.m. for inclusion in the draw.

MODEL COUNTY DRAW – Tickets will be available at the beginning of March and the monthly draw nights have been scheduled for May 1, May 29 and June 26. The cost of the ticket is unchanged at €50.

GAA AND CAMOGIE REGISTRATI­ON – Registrati­on night is Thursday, February 28, 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. just in Craanford complex. Forms need be completed so need people to attend to sign up if not already done so.

SCHOOLS SEMI-FINAL – Best of luck to our club members who are playing with Coláiste Bhríde in the all-Ireland schools junior camogie semi-final on Monday, February 25, in Carnew.

GAELTACHT SCHOLARSHI­P – The club is inviting anyone from sixth class to fifth year who is a club member to put their name forward for a scholarshi­p to Gaeltacht in the summer which is part funded by Wexford GAA, Craanford club and the parent.
