€10,000 drugs seized in Ballycarney

THE gardaí seized €10,000 worth of drugs at the weekend in a raid on a house in Ballycarney.

A spokesperson for the force told this newspaper the raid was carried out on Sunday and during the search ‘a quantity of controlled drugs was seized’.

The suspected drugs include cannabis, cocaine and tablets with an estimated street value of €10,000.

A man in his 20s was arrested in and questioned in relation to the seizure but was later released without charge.

A file on the matter is being prepared for the DPP.
