Car had no valid NCT

John McKeown (45), 33 St Mary’s Villas, Bunclody, was convicted of an NCT offence when his case was heard at the District Court in Wexford.

The court learned how McKeown’s red Peugeot hatchback was impounded by gardaí on duty at Redmond Square in Wexford on October 28 last.

The seizure was made as neither tax nor NCT appeared to be in order.

Judge Brian O’Shea dealt with the matter by setting a fine of €160.
