We congratula­te Sr Mairead Hayden, Daughters of Charity, Carnew on her Platinum Jubilee (70 years in religious life) for her contributi­on to the parish- visiting homes, helping those in need, distributi­ng Miraculous medals, bringing St Cathrine Laboure relic to the sick, and establishi­ng the Catholic girl guides. We wish you good good health and many happy years.

CHURCH CEREMONIES

Carnew parish has Mass on Saturday evenings at 7.30 p.m., Sunday morning at 11 a.m., Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings starting at 7.10 p.m. with rosary. These can be got on Facebook and go into Carnew Tomacork Parish.

Coolfancy is live on Facebook on Saturday evenings at 7.30 p.m. go into Coolfancy parish.

Kilrush-Askamore you go into google and put in churchmedi­a.ie click on the three bars in the right hand corner, click on churches and then on St Brigid’s Church Kilrush and then on the play button in the black box, Masses are on Monday to Friday 9.30 a.m., Saturday 6 p.m., Sunday morning 10 a.m.

Communion in Ballyellis is now September 20 and Ballyroebu­ck September 27 all going well.

If you need your groceries/ Medicine collect the following are available to do it for you, our local GAA by contacting Michael Rock 087 6425162, James Doran 087 2028669, John Mullen 086 4177808, Fr Chris Hayden 087 2035440, Rev Ruth Elmes 086 0621009, our local fire officer Martin Shannon and our local garda. You ring your local shop/pharmacy to arrange your order, pay for it and then arrange with these people to collect your items.

The Askamore patron is on this Sunday, May 31, with Mass at 1 p.m. coming from Kilrush through churchmedi­a.ie, click on the black bars on the right hand corner, go to churches and click on St Brigid’s Church Kilrush.

Families can go and visit their graves in their own time and spend a little time in prayer with your deceased, please adhere to the rules of Social Distances and if there’s too many there at the one time please wait or return at a later time.
