CLONROCHE DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION.

Clonroche Development Association CLG would complement the people of the village, and especially the business premises, for keeping the village free of litter at this difficult time. We are still very short of staff, far although we have five CE places, two remain unfilled for months. Through the grapevine we’re hearing, Social Welfare are ‘not recruiting’ at present. So, it appears, these places will be left vacant for some time.

Although outdoor staff, like gardening, where there is ample room for social distancing, where signaled for a return to work on May 18, both our Tús and Rural Social Scheme workers have not yet returned. We have an unfilled place on the Tús program. Both the Tús and RSS schemes are administered by Wexford Local Development.

To try and maintain the village, and in the knowledge of our short staff position, we’re appealing for help from the community and especially from our own membership. Many hands make light work.
