UPDATE FROM TIDY TOWNS

This year we will be putting on a summer display of flowers in window boxes, hanging baskets and flower beds in the centre of the village. This year’s display will be a slightly reduced as we will need to comply with the Government guidelines.

Both the Suprvalu Tidy Town and Keep Wexford Beautiful competition have been cancelled due to the Covid-19 distancing rules.

Our members and volunteers have and will be keeping the village looking at its best as a celebration of our village for the residents, businesses and future visitors.

Reminder: Blackwater Tidy Town is a Voluntary Group and as the distancing restrictions are eased we need to reminder the community that the street bins are NOT for domestic rubbish, we have turned a blind eye to this illegal activity during the lockdown and are now seeking your support to cease this illegal activity which is putting our members at risk due to increased activity in the streets.

The recycling area is in great use at the moment but we would ask that if the bins are full please take your recyclable items home till they are emptied. If you bring your recyclables to the area in boxes cartons or bags please bring those home as we do not have availability to recycle these.

We hope you enjoy the village over the summer months and Blackwater TT are delighted to hopefully raise peoples spirits following the long lockdown restrictions. Stay Safe.
