PLAYGROUND RE-OPENS

The new playground at Barntown Community Centre has now re-opened. We ask parents to please follow a few simple rules when children are using the playground.

Children must always be supervised by an adult. Please bring hand sanitiser for use before, during and after use of equipment. If you can’t sanitise, please do not enter playground.

Supervising adults to ensure the two metre distancing rules. Please ask children to avoid touching their eyes, nose and mouth. Ensure the safe use of the equipment and the safety of all others. Adhere to the most up to date health advice.

GAA CLUB NOTES

Preparations have begun for the gradual re-opening of our club grounds. The walking track is open for a limited time per day with the hour from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. dedicated to cocooners. Please adhere to our one way system on the track by following the signs. Please observe the usual HSE guidelines. Thanks to Martin Brazzill of Vending Solutions for co-sponsoring our hand sanitisers.

WRITING COMPETITION

Reminder: €1,000 Prize Pot for the Write By the Sea Writing Competition, closing date Friday, July 10.

TRACTOR RUN CANCELLED

Unfortunately our treasured annual Tractor Run cannot go ahead this year as planned. The committee of Glynn Community Hall would just like to give a shout out to everyone who supports us year after year and say a big thank you for your much welcomed support towards our hall in the past. Hopefully, we will all get to meet up for another great day in 2021.
