A very busy bank holiday weekend at Dublin Airport
MORE than 376,000 passengers travelled through Dublin Airport this October Bank Holiday Weekend, from Friday 26 to Monday 29 October, 2018.
Passenger numbers are up 8% over the same weekend last year, according to Dublin Airport.
‘More than 2,500 flights are due to arrive and depart at Dublin Airport this weekend,’ according to Dublin Airport spokesperson Siobhán O’donnell, speaking before the weekend.
‘We’re expecting an average of 95,000 passengers each day over the course of the October Bank Holiday Weekend,’ she added.
Friday was the busiest day of the Bank Holiday Weekend, with more than 100,000 passengers travelling through the airport, according to the daa.
So far this year, Dublin Airport has welcomed an extra 1.4 million customers, as passenger numbers are up 6% to more than 24.2 million passengers for the first nine months of 2018.
Dublin Airport hadcustomer Care teams on duty across both terminals this Bank Holiday Weekend to help passengers with their journey through the airport.
