A very busy bank hol­i­day week­end at Dublin Air­port

MORE than 376,000 pas­sen­gers trav­elled through Dublin Air­port this Oc­to­ber Bank Hol­i­day Week­end, from Fri­day 26 to Mon­day 29 Oc­to­ber, 2018.

Pas­sen­ger num­bers are up 8% over the same week­end last year, ac­cord­ing to Dublin Air­port.

‘More than 2,500 flights are due to ar­rive and de­part at Dublin Air­port this week­end,’ ac­cord­ing to Dublin Air­port spokesper­son Siob­hán O’don­nell, speak­ing be­fore the week­end.

‘We’re ex­pect­ing an av­er­age of 95,000 pas­sen­gers each day over the course of the Oc­to­ber Bank Hol­i­day Week­end,’ she added.

Fri­day was the busiest day of the Bank Hol­i­day Week­end, with more than 100,000 pas­sen­gers trav­el­ling through the air­port, ac­cord­ing to the daa.

So far this year, Dublin Air­port has wel­comed an ex­tra 1.4 mil­lion cus­tomers, as pas­sen­ger num­bers are up 6% to more than 24.2 mil­lion pas­sen­gers for the first nine months of 2018.

Dublin Air­port had­cus­tomer Care teams on duty across both ter­mi­nals this Bank Hol­i­day Week­end to help pas­sen­gers with their jour­ney through the air­port.
