Por­trane Se­abees per­form ‘in line with ex­pec­ta­tions’

CON­CRETE Se­abees in­stalled at The Bur­row in Por­trane to slow down coastal ero­sion in the area, are work­ing ‘in line with ex­pec­ta­tions’ ac­cord­ing to the coun­cil.

An­swer­ing a ques­tion on the is­sue from Cllr Adrian Henchy (FF), the coun­cil re­ported: ‘The con­sult­ing en­gi­neers RPS

have re­ported that the units are per­form­ing in line with their ex­pec­ta­tions.’

The lo­cal au­thor­ity re­port added: ‘The Coun­cil’s fo­cus has now shifted to the de­vel­op­ment of a long term strat­egy for the coastal pro­tec­tion in the Roger­stown Es­tu­ary in­clud­ing Por­trane hav­ing re­gard to the sig­nif­i­cant plan­ning and en­vi­ron­men­tal is­sues in­volved.’
