CONCRETE Seabees installed at The Burrow in Portrane to slow down coastal erosion in the area, are working ‘in line with expectations’ according to the council.
Answering a question on the issue from Cllr Adrian Henchy (FF), the council reported: ‘The consulting engineers RPS
have reported that the units are performing in line with their expectations.’
The local authority report added: ‘The Council’s focus has now shifted to the development of a long term strategy for the coastal protection in the Rogerstown Estuary including Portrane having regard to the significant planning and environmental issues involved.’
