Air Baltic launches new Dublin to Riga route in wel­come re­turn

DUBLIN Air­port has wel­comed air­baltic’s de­ci­sion to launch a new Dublin-riga ser­vice next sum­mer.

The new ser­vice will op­er­ate four times per week to the Lat­vian cap­i­tal.

Dublin Air­port Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor Vincent Har­ri­son said he was de­lighted to wel­come air­baltic back to Dublin Air­port.

He said: ‘This new ser­vice to Riga will fur­ther en­hance the con­nec­tiv­ity be­tween Ire­land and Latvia and is good news for pas­sen­gers as it will of­fer ad­di­tional choice and con­ve­nience.’

Martin Gauss, Chief Ex­ec­u­tive Of­fi­cer of air­baltic said the air­line was glad to of­fer its guests reg­u­lar flights from Dublin to Riga.

He said: ‘This route has had strong de­mand for years now and we are very happy that we can add flights be­tween the two cities to our ex­pand­ing route port­fo­lio. air­baltic pas­sen­gers now will have di­rect flights to Riga with the new Air­bus A220300 air­craft.’

Tick­ets for the new ser­vice, which be­gins on March 31, are now book­able.

air­baltic serves over 70 des­ti­na­tions from Riga, Tallinn and Vil­nius, of­fer­ing the largest va­ri­ety of des­ti­na­tions and con­ve­nient con­nec­tions via Riga to its net­work span­ning Europe, Scan­di­navia, the CIS and the Mid­dle East. Dublin Air­port, which wel­comed more than 30 mil­lion pas­sen­gers this year, has flights to al­most 190 des­ti­na­tions in 43 coun­tries, op­er­ated by 56 air­lines.
