TINA’S WALK PRESENTATION
A presentation evening will be held in Dunne’s Lounge, Clonegal, this coming Thursday, July 21, at 6 p.m. The committee will present all proceeds from the 5km walk and cabaret to a representative on behalf of the Irish Hospice Foundation. All welcome
GAA LOTTO
The Kildavin-Clonegal GAA lotto was held in Ryan’s ‘The Moss House’, Bunclody, on Sunday, July 9. Numbers drawn were 1, 22, 23 and 27. There was no winner of the jackpot of €7,600. One winner matches three, Sinéad Gray, Clonegal, receiving €150. Seller’s prize goes to Thomas Redmond receiving €50. The next draw will take place in Conway’s Lounge, Kildavin, on Sunday, July 23, at 10.30 p.m., with a jackpot worth €7,800. Tickets €2 each.
CONGRATULATIONS
Breda Murphy (a member of Clonegal National School parents’ council) is pleased to advise that she completed the London Marathon (April 23) and raised €1,250 for Clonegal National School. Many thanks for your wonderful contributions.
A draw for €50 was also held and the winner was Gerry Darcy, Celbridge, Co. Kildare (a work colleague of Breda’s) who has kindly donated his winnings back to the school. Many thanks to Gerry for this very kind act.
Therefore, a total of raised €1,250 was handed over to the school on June 27 to support the Social, Personal and Health Development/Education Program (SPHE).
HUNTINGTON CASTLE
Join Neil Porteous from the world famous Mount Stewart Gardens as he visits Huntington for the first time. Neil will lead a tour around the delights of these historic surroundings, from the 17th century parterres to the ancient Yew Walk, the ‘Wilderness’ woodland, the kitchen gardens, the Greenhouse and Rose Gardens on Sunday, July 24, at midday.
