LUCKY FIVE GET A CASH BONUS

THERE was great excitement in a number of shops across the Gorey district last Tuesday as loyal Guardian readers received €20 for simply buying the paper.

In the last week of the Buy and Win promotion, five lucky readers scooped €20 from representatives from the Gorey Guardian when they took their copy of the paper to the checkout in their local shop.

At Lambert’s Londis in Camolin, Patrick Bolger was overjoyed when he was approached to say he had just won €20.

‘I am really happy with that, think I will go and do the lotto now,’ said Patrick.

Across the road in Carton’s Daybreak, Ciaran Kinsella from Ballyduff was over the moon when he won the money after he bought the paper.

‘I am delighted to have won it,’ said Ciaran. ‘I wasn’t expecting that at all now, thank you very much.’

Enda McDonald from Kilanerin got more than he bargained for when he popped into Murphy’s Gala Store in the village for his copy of the Guardian. He was thrilled to have won the money.

‘That is just absolutely brilliant, thank you very much for the money,’ added Enda.

In Canavans Londis, Inch, John Kinsella of Castletown got his Tuesday off to a good start when he picked up his favourite local paper and got €20 for his troubles.‘That has really made my day,’ said John.

The final lucky reader was Paddy Lennon from Coolgreany who bought his copy in Shortts of Coolgreany.
