Visitor ban at St John’s
VISITORS are being urged to keep away from St John’s Hospital in Enniscorthy for the moment in a bid to prevent the spread of the flu virus there. The HSE yesterday, Monday, issued a statement which said that restrictions on visitors to the hospital are currently in place at the Enniscorthy hospital and that it would remain until further notice.
‘The HSE/South East Community Healthcare appreciates the co-operation of all concerned, as the ban is in place in the interest of patient care,’ the statement read. ‘St John’s Community Hospital regrets this inconvenience, but it is necessary at this time to prevent the spread of these illnesses to both patients and staff.
The HSE have said that the situation will be monitored and reviewed daily.
