Had no valid tax or light on plate

DRIVING without a valid tax disc and without lighting on his number plates at Milehouse Road on March 11 of last year resulted in a court appearance for Stephen Bolton (25) of Monbay Lower, Craanford, Gorey.

Solicitor Lana Doherty informed the court that her client wished to plead guilty to the charge of no tax, however, while he accepted detection in the other matter, he would give evidence that he did not receive the fine in the post.

After Bolton gave this evidence, gardaí had no questions and the charge was dismissed. On the charge of driving without a valid tax disc, he was fined €200.
