Wasn’t insured
An 18-year-old motorist who drove without insurance failed to persuade Judge Gerard Haughton he should be allowed to continue driving.
Engineering company worker Darragh Fleming of Curraduff, Ferns, accepted that no cover was in place the day he crashed into a ditch near his home. He had taken the vehicle for a test drive.
He was fined €100 for driving without a licence and €300 for the insurance offence which also attracted a two year disqualification.
