MARATHON LADIES

Many congratula­tions and very well done to the ladies of Rathnure and Templeudig­an, who completed the Dublin City Marathon recently in aid of Pieta House. Tina Somers, Eleanor Lynn, Betty O’Neill, Gillian Power, Breda Redmond and Pam Kehoe.

CAMOGIE CLUB 50TH

Rathnure camogie club will hold their 50th Celebrator­y dinner dance on Saturday, November 24. Tickets are now on sale and can be bought through committee members or on Tuesday nights between 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Syl Barron Room (every Tuesday night till the night or till tickets run out – whichever comes first)

KILTEALY CRAFT FAIR

Kicking off the festive spirit, Kiltealy Voluntary Cardiac Response are having their annual fundraisin­g Christmas Fair in the community hall on Sunday, November 25, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please come along and see the fantastic work our local crafters have on show and soak up the festive atmosphere. Free entry, donations welcome. Keep this date in your diary not to be missed.

HANDBALL CLUB AGM

The club held their 36th AGM Wednesay night last. The following was the committee elected for the coming year 2018/2019: president: Brian O’Neill (Snr), chairperso­n: Micheál O’Neill, Vice-chairperso­n: David Redmond, secretary/PRO: Niamh Murphy, treasurer: Breda Ryan, Juvenile Officer: Kiall Byrne, Coaching Officer: David Redmond, County Delegates: Niamh Murphy and Marie Murphy.

Membership prices are as follows and membership is due immediatel­y. It will be collected from players next week at their Racquetbal­l game: Family – €50, Handballer­s – €50, adult – €30, student – €20, Juvenile (under-17) – €20, Non-playing members – €10.
