There will be pub quizzes in aid of Ballygarre­tt Christmas Tree Fund at the Schooner Bar on Friday, November 30, and Friday, December 7, at 9.30 p.m. Come and enjoy a fun quiz and a great night out. Cost is €3 per person. No restrictio­n on team members per table. Raffle on the night.

GAA CLUB NOTES

Thank you to everyone who helped out, performed and attended our Stars in their Eyes fundraiser last Saturday. A great community night was had by all.

Congratula­tions to club members Paddy Keavey, Philip Redmond, Teegan Murphy and Andrew Smith, who are all sixth class students in St Mary’s NS Ballygarre­tt. They have been awarded scholarshi­ps to Creagh CC based on their athletic ability and GAA involvemen­t.

Blotto – There was no jackpot winner in the club blotto draw on November 19. The numbers picked were 8, 9, 13 and 15. The €20 lucky-dip winners were Mick Kinsella, c/o 19th; Gina Longley, Coolook Beg; Jaroslav Solar c/o Ambrose Maloneys; Harry and Kelly Smith; Jean Prendergas­t. Five Free Tickets Winner: Mick and Andrea. This week’s jackpot rose to €18,700. Next draw in the Schooner on November 26.

COLÁISTE AN ÁTHA

Coláiste an Átha’s annual Christmas Market will take place on Friday, November 30, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This event will be hosted by the TY and LCA students. The students will be selling their own enterprise projects on the night. Coláiste an Átha looks forward to welcoming the local community to our school Gym to browse an array of stalls and games. Get into the festive spirit and enjoy our choir, start your Christmas early and pick from crafts, gifts, confection­ery and jewellery sold by our students and local vendors. There’s something for everyone.

Come play Bridge in Seán Óg’s Kilmuckrid­ge Bridge Club at the Upton Court Hotel, Kilmuckrid­ge on Monday evening at 7 p.m. Partner required. Also Thursday Morning 10 a.m.. No Partner required.
