Aladdin panto tickets set to fly out the door!

The people of Gorey are being urged to quickly grab their panto tickets for next year’s production of Aladdin at Gorey Little Theatre before they sell out.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, December 7, for the production that will take place from Friday, January 11, until Saturday, January 19, at 8 p.m. nightly, apart from Saturday and Sunday, January 12 and 13, when the matinees are at 3 p.m. Last year, the matinees sold out within a few days!

A cast of over 100 performers will take to the stage, backed by a dedicated support team that promise a night of music and laughter.

Director Alan Corcoran is supported by musical director Fintan Cleary, chorus mistress Mandy O’Callaghan and choreograp­her Frances Ryan.

Rehearsals have begun and Gorey Little Theatre group thanked the parents of children in the cast for their support and cooperatio­n.

Aladdin is played by Alex Murphy, while Jasmine is played by Alison Bush. The cast also includes: George Percival as Abanazzar; Halle McQuade as Peri; David Cox as Widow Twankey; Denis Howell as Polly Twankey; Nicola Galvin as Wishee Washee; Paul Hempenstal­l as Emperor; Jan as Hu Flung Dung; Sorcha as Yon tu Long; Tina Carter as So Shi; Marie Noctor as So Shun; Sean Robertson Timons as Vizer and Hung to Loh; Jayson Murray as Genie; Lindsey Tindall as Detective Whelly; Katie Louise Murray as Herald; Tara Boukhima as Villager.

They are supported by talented teams who look after aspects of the show such as costumes, set design and constructi­on, lighting, sound, ticket sales, PR and administra­tion, building maintenanc­e, props, and make up.

Tickets for the first four performanc­es are €13 and all other shows are €16.
