Show Spec­tac­u­lar raises €1,240 for lo­cal char­i­ties

Dancers from the Caro­line Flem­ing Academy of Ir­ish Dance pre­sented two cheques of €620 each to St Ai­dan’s Day Care Cen­tre and Ardeen Cheshire Home Shillelagh last week in the Loch Gar­man Arms.

The money was raised in a show spec­tac­u­lar which was held in St Brigid’s Hall in Carnew dur­ing the sum­mer. Speak­ing to this news­pa­per, Caro­line said that the sell­out show fea­tured tal­ented acts from across the south east and she thanked all who helped make it a suc­cess.

‘Nor­mally we raised the mon- ey for Share a Dream, but they have fin­ished the con­struc­tion of Dreamland in Lim­er­ick which is a place that pro­vides hol­i­days for sick chil­dren and their fam­i­lies,’ said Caro­line. ‘Next year we will be stick­ing with the tow lo­cal char­i­ties.’

The Caro­line Flem­ing Academy of Ir­ish Danc­ing are al­ready pre­par­ing for next year’s show that will take place in the sum­mer months and prom­ises to be big­ger and bet­ter than ever.

Caro­line thanked those for their con­tri­bu­tion to­wards the char­i­ties, all of her stu­dents and to the par­ents for their sup­port.
