Show Spectacular raises €1,240 for local charities
Dancers from the Caroline Fleming Academy of Irish Dance presented two cheques of €620 each to St Aidan’s Day Care Centre and Ardeen Cheshire Home Shillelagh last week in the Loch Garman Arms.
The money was raised in a show spectacular which was held in St Brigid’s Hall in Carnew during the summer. Speaking to this newspaper, Caroline said that the sellout show featured talented acts from across the south east and she thanked all who helped make it a success.
‘Normally we raised the mon- ey for Share a Dream, but they have finished the construction of Dreamland in Limerick which is a place that provides holidays for sick children and their families,’ said Caroline. ‘Next year we will be sticking with the tow local charities.’
The Caroline Fleming Academy of Irish Dancing are already preparing for next year’s show that will take place in the summer months and promises to be bigger and better than ever.
Caroline thanked those for their contribution towards the charities, all of her students and to the parents for their support.
