SANTA VISIT

Ballycanew Lights Committee would like to announce the arrival of Santa on Sunday, December 9, at 6 p.m. for the big switch on of our new Christmas Tree. There will also be Stilt walkers, jugglers to entertain all before Santa arrives. Promises to be a great night. Come along and join in the festive atmosphere. Also Santa has left a Mailbox for the kids to post their Christmas letter on the night.

CHRISTMAS BAZAAR

A Christmas craft fair/bazaar will be held in Ballycanew National School on Sunday, December 9, from three 5 p.m. The School choir will get you in the spirit of Christmas with some carol singing, There will be craft stalls, envelope raffle, face painting, cake sale, tea and coffee and much much more. There will be activities for the children to do. The Ballycanew Parents Assocaitio­n would love you to come and join them in an evening of festive fun for all the family.

BALLYOUGHT­ER CHRISTMAS CONCERT

The Ballyought­er Christmas Concert is on December 14 in Sacred Heart Church Ballyought­er. It promises to be a greats nights entertainm­ent with the renowned Island of Ireland peace choir directed by Dr Phil Brennan, Local Sopranos Caroline Doyle and Laura Carroll. Gorey Ukes and the Ballyought­er School Choir. Tickets can be purchased from the school or on the door on the night Adults €10 and Children €5. Refreshmen­ts will be served afterwards in the School. All support greatly appreciate­d.

BALLYOUGHT­ER REMEMBRANC­E TREE

Ballyought­er parents’ associatio­n Presents: our Remembranc­e Tree. Purchase a bauble to remember your loved ones this Christmas, baubles will be placed on the tree in Sacred Heart Church Ballyought­er. A special Remembranc­e Mass will be held in Ballyought­er on December 23 at 9.45 a.m. Refreshmen­ts served in the school afterwards. Baubles are available to purchase from Ballyought­er school, local businesses or by contacting 087 6345789. Cost of baubles is €2 each or three for €5. Your support is greatly appreciate­d and all proceeds go directly towards building an outdoor shelter for the school kids.
