Wex­ford Has Tal­ent au­di­tions Sun­day

THE au­di­tions for this year’s Wex­ford Has Tal­ent com­pe­ti­tion take place this com­ing week­end – on Sun­day, Jan­uary 13, from 12 noon to 6 p.m.

Any­one in­ter­ested in au­di­tion­ing who hasn’t al­ready reg­is­tered is ad­vised to go on­line and book an au­di­tion slot through www.wex­ford­hastal­ent. com or through the event’s Face­book page.

Free au­di­tion spa­ces can be booked in ad­vance, how­ever, there will be a fa­cil­ity to ac­com­mo­date peo­ple who turn up on the day as well.

An ad­di­tional com­po­nent this year is a fa­cil­ity for peo­ple to sub­mit a video au­di­tion through the web­site.

This is the fifth year of the com­pe­ti­tion which to-date has seen 650 peo­ple au­di­tion­ing in ad­di­tion to 192 live per­for­mances.

Fol­low­ing the Jan­uary 13 au­di­tions be­tween 24 and 30 acts will be se­lected to go through to two semi-fi­nals in which they will per­form be­fore a live au­di­ence in Clay­ton White’s Ho­tel.

The grand fi­nal will take place on Satur­day, March 9.

Any­one with a spe­cial tal­ent can en­ter the com­pe­ti­tion which has helped the ca­reers of many tal­ented peo­ple in Wex­ford in­clud­ing last year’s win­ner Rachel Grace who is one of the coun­try’s most promis­ing new singer song­writ­ers.
