RAISING A GLASS TO NAOMH EANNA’S GREATEST EVER YEAR!

HISTORIC MOMENT IS RECALLED AT ANNUAL NAOMH EANNA DINNER DANCE IN THE ASHDOWN

- By SARA GAHAN

THE ANNUAL Naomh Eanna dinner dance was a sweet reminder of the club’s historic moment at Innovate Wexford Park in October when the team secured their first ever Wexford County Senior Hurling title.

Former Offaly star Michael Duignan served as MC on the night, hosting panel discussions with club players, mentors and two legendary former Wexford All-Ireland winners – Ger Cushe and Billy Byrne.

More than 250 Naomh Eanna supporters attended the dinner dance that marked a successful season of Senior Hurling and Intermediate A football.

Michael, a two-time All-Ireland winner, hosted a panel discussion with fellow Offaly All Ireland winner Shane McGuckin, followed by Wexford All-Ireland winners Ger Cushe and Billy Byrne.

After reminiscing about the All-Ireland days, Michael and co-manager Louis Cullen presented medals to some outstanding Naomh Eanna players of the year: Emma Doyle (Ladies Player of the Year); Eoin Molloy (Man of the Match in Hurling Final); Barry Kinsella (Man of the Match Football Final); John O’Brien (Football Player of the Year); Aodhán Doyle (Hurling Player of the Year); Cathal Dunbar (Individual Moment of Brilliance).

The Naomh Eanna players presented the management team – Louis Cullen, Pat Doyle, Willie Cleary and Pádraig Cronin – with hand-crafted clocks by Robert O’Connor.

Michael Dwyer, PRO for Naomh Eanna, thanked the dinner dance committee and the many volunteers for making the night a truly memorable occasion.
