Deirdre Conroy is delighted with her lotto winnings of €8,200

-

DEIRDRE CONROY from Carnew was over the moon when all her numbers appeared this month in Coláiste Bhríde Carnew’s parents’ association school lotto fundraiser.

Deirdre was presented with her winnings of €8,200 last week by principal Linda Dunne and Martina Winterbotham, chairperson of Coláiste Bhríde’s parents’ association.

The monthly lotto draw is run by the parents’ association in aid of the school’s sports facilities, equipment and other student activities.

Anna Gahan, vice principal, said it is a big fundraiser which attracts a lot of attention. She added that most people buy a lotto ticket for the year and hope for the best.

‘This month’s large sum of money was a build up from the previous months. We haven’t had a winner in a long time,’ said Ms Gahan.

Ms Gahan added that tickets for their next big fundraiser, Digi Draw, will be available soon. There will be some great digital technology prizes up for grabs.
