- By BRENDAN KEANE

A TEENAGER from Ferns is celebrating the release of her new single which went straight to the top of the iTunes country charts upon release.

Stacey Breen (17), has just released ‘Whenever You Come Around’, which comes in the wake of her last hit, ‘Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under’.

The song, a cover version of the Vince Gill classic, is a track she fell in love with herself the first time she heard it.

She is a huge fan of the American country legend so it was an obvious choice of song for her to cover.

The new single has taken her career another step forward and has become her seventh No.1 single on the Irish Country music iTunes chart.

Stacey is fast becoming one of the most talked about acts on the contemporary Irish country music scene.

She has also been busy on the touring front having shared stages with the likes of Philomena Begley, Ray Lynam, Louise Morrissey, Kathy Durkin and Dominic Kirwan.

With her feet firmly on the ground she said she really appreciates the support she has been given from the general public locally and across the country, and also from radio stations and media throughout Ireland.

The new single is now available to download from iTunes.
