Carrying on a proud family tradition

TRADITIONALLY Nolan’s have been in the stone carving business for five generations.

Over the years the business went from strength to strength with Jimmy Nolan skillfully crafting hand carved high quality memorials, lettered and finished to a high standard. Nolan’s are also direct importers from their overseas partners enabling them to offer top quality at the keenest prices. Jimmy started his business in Wexford Town in the mid-1960s, a craft handed down to him by his father John who worked in stoneworks in Ballon, Co Carlow and his grandfather Thomas Francis. When Jimmy retired, he handed down the business to his son James, who set up his current business in Coolroe, Ballycullane in 2003. In January 2012 James re-opened in Wexford town and has now moved to a new premises at 86 North Main Street, providing Headstones, Grave plaques and accessories, wreaths and Stoves. There are over 100 headstones in stock, and with each headstone erected James is on site personally.
