REFUSED TO GIVE A SAMPLE

-

A MOTORIST who refused to give a sample to Gardai when requested to do so was remanded on continuing bail when her case went before a recent sitting of Enniscorthy District Court.

Alice Hoey, with an address at Annebridge, Sutton Road, Sutton, St James, in the UK, had her case heard before Judge Gerard Haughton.

In addition to the aforementioned charge she was also accused of having no driving licence.

Garda Gavin Farrell told the court the charges arose out of him attending the scene of an accident at Courtown Road, Gorey, at 10.30 p.m. on January 1, this year.

Solicitor, Lana Doherty told the court her client had contracted a virus and was intensive care and unable to attend court.

‘I think it should be adjourned,’ she said. The judge then remanded the defendant on continuing bail to appear before the court again on April 3.
