-

THERE was a great attendance at the Awareness Head to Toe AGM last week in Courtyard Ferns.

At the meeting, a cheque of €300 was presented to the Hope Centre in Enniscorthy, raised through a table quiz that was held last month.

Two guest speakers, Lorcan Brennan and Paddy Redmond, attended the meeting, speaking about positive mental health and general health.

Outgoing chairperson George Graham said their two highlights from the year was the farm safety days they held at Tullow Mart and Carnew Mart, informing people of the importance of farm safety and mental health.

The secretary read the minutes from last year’s AGM, while the treasurer went through the financial report. The election of officers then took place with no changes or resignations.

The officers are as follows: Chairperson – George Graham; Secretary – Emily Barker; Treasurer – John Kelly. The committee members are: Alice Doyle, Terry Harney, Leslie Dixon, Margaret Healy, Anne Murphy, Paddy Hipwell, Martina Harrington, Michael O’Neill, Joe Dixon, Nicholas Redmond, Una Sinnott and Denis Kinsella.

Awareness Head to Toe was launched over two years ago with the aim of promoting mental health, farm safety awareness and general health.
