Johnstown-Coolgreany Macra and Wicklow Macra are having a new members/ titles nightthis Friday the 22nd of February in McCrea’s Carnew at 8.30pm. We will have a DJ, food and plenty of craic.

45 CARD DRIVE

A very successful 45 Card Drive is ongoing in the Coolgreany Inn on each Friday night at 8-30 pm, everyone is very welcome to come along for a good night of craic at the cards, and some lovely finger food thrown in for good measure. So please join us if you enjoy a game of 45.

OPERATION TRANSFORMA­TION

In partnershi­p with RTÉ’s Operation Transforma­tion the full lights will be on at the pitch from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. every Thursday night, so everyone can enjoy a healthy walks in the safe, bright environs of the GAA club.

Craanford Parish Certificat­es – The sister dioceses of Ferns, Ossory and Kildare and Leighlin have together employed a Data Protection Officer, Ms Noreen Reynolds, based in Bishops House, Kilkenny. Her duty is to ensure that all parishes of our dioceses are compliant with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation­s) of the European Union. In this era of increased harvesting of personal data it is necessary to ensure its proper use. Therefore, in future, and to ensure such compliance, all requests for Craanford parish certificat­es (baptism, Confirmati­on, Marriage) must be made in person to Craanford parish office on Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 9 a.m. to midday (087 3633965 Email craanfordl­ocalnews@gmail.com). Each applicatio­n involves the filling out of a request form and, should you be unknown to us, the presentati­on of personal identifica­tion (Passport, Driver’s License or Public Service Card). The lotto jackpot increase by €100 per week till it is won. Next week’s jackpot is €12,300. Lotto tickets available in Cooney Communicat­ions, Craanford, Donal’s Main Street Gorey or any club member. Tickets may now be collected and dropped back to Cooney Communicat­ions in Craanford by 6 p.m. on Wednesday evening and afterwards into Cooney’s Pub by 9 p.m. for inclusion in the draw.

Well done to club member Aoife Curran, who was part of the winning Athlone IT camogie team on their victory over Trinity College in the Fr Meagher cup final last weekend.

Many thanks to all that supported and helped the camogie and GAA table quiz last Friday night.
