COFFEE MORNING/ CAKE SALE

Thank to everyone who came and support our recent coffee morning and cake sale in Ballycanew National School. Amount raised was €1,460. Thanks to everyone who baked and donated cakes. Raffle prize winners as follows. Your support was greatly appreciate­d.

SPLIT-THE-POT

Congratula­tions to the Saturday, September 21, winner of the split-the-pot, Enya Flynn – the prize money was €218. Congratula­tions. Thanks to everyone for their continue support.

ST PATRICK’S GAA LOTTO

There was no winner of last week’s jackpot; winning numbers were 1, 2, 4 and 28. Brendan Higgins matched three numbers to receive €150.

WHIST DRIVE RESULTS

Results of whist drive held in hall on Friday night, September 14, Gents; first Nick Furlong; second – Isaac Connolly; third ; Gents Half Time Colin: Ladies first Aidan Gahan; Ladies – second Kay Dempsey; third G Power; Ladies Half Time Heather Hayes and Deirdre de Paor.

Results of whist drive held in hall on Friday night, September 20, Gents; first Eileen Furlong; second – Heather Hayes; third ; Gents Half Time Sadie Mordaunt: Ladies first Peg Kennedy; Ladies – second Eilish Murphy; third Flo Kavanagh.

Whist drive every Friday night in the hall. All are welcome.

FIRST RESPONDERS AGM

The Ballycanew First Responders AGM will be held on Thursday, October 3, at 8 p.m. in the Ballycanew Resource Centre. Volunteers urgently needed for Ballycanew CFR – full training is given. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, email ballycanew­cfr@gmail.com, or contact us on our Ballycanew Community First Responders Facebook page.

BALLYCANEW RESOURCE CENTRE

The Ballycanew community Resource Centre will be open weekday mornings from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. please support this new service in the village.
