Marshalstown- Castledockrell

MARSHALSTOWN PATRON

Marshalstown Patron due to be held on Sunday, May 31, is now cancelled. Mass for the deceased will be on Sunday, May 31, at 3 p.m. Due to Covid-19 restrictions it will not be possible to attend Mass in the church. It may be viewed via webcam by going to churchmedia.ie Then select churches and go to St Joseph’s, Marshalstown. Fr McDonald will bless the graves on the Sunday evening. Normal Sunday Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. via webcam as usual.

Those, who wish to make a contribution to the upkeep of the cemetery may do so as there will be a collection box at the back of the church before and after the Mass.

SUNDAY ENVELOPES

Those, who wish to contribute to the parish using their Sunday envelopes for Castledockrell or Marshalstown may do so by leaving them at the Parochial House Marshalstown or by sending a cheque made payable to either Castledockrell or Marshalstown and send them to Fr McDonald by post.

CHURCH SERVICES

Marshalstown Church now has a webcam. Mass on Sunday mornings will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Masses during the week will be announced each day after Mass. Website is churchmedia.ie. Select Churches and then St Joseph’s, Marshalstown.

To all in the parish, who celebrated their birthdays over the last few weeks belated Happy Birthday.

PHOTOGRAPHY AWARDS

Best of luck to Ava Skye Byrne, who is one of twenty two finalists in the Irish National School Photography Awards. Her entry is called ‘Junk Culture’. Two others from Castledockrell NS were Highly Commended in the same competition – Huw Byrne’s entry ‘Handy Storage’ and Nathan Whelan’s entry ‘You see a paper bag. I see my next art project’. Well done to all.

STORYTELLING

Story House in Castledockrell has been cancelled till further notice due to Covid-19. There will be many stories to be told and heard when we get back to the house of stories. Stay safe and well everyone.

BINGO

We wish to inform everyone that the bingo in Marshalstown Community Centre has been cancelled till further notice due to Covid-19. Apologies for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your support in the past.
