No date for housing allocations

-

IN A brief report from the housing section, councillors heard that essential repairs are taking place in council housing stock but that capital projects are at a standstill.

Safe work practise and an inspection will be carried out in the coming days and weeks.

Councillor Oliver Walsh asked about work on the Ballagh in Enniscorthy, where seven dwellings are under construction, and was told that it will be recommended once back on site.

Councillor Mary Farrell asked about allocations and was told that there is no definite date as of yet.

During the Covid-19 crisis, pre-tenancy meetings could not take place but Cllr Farrell was told that those who had accepted the agreements in advance should expect theirs sooner than others.

Private Residential Tenancy inspections were suspended as they were deemed non-essential and the Council now awaits guidance.
