COMMUNITY AND SPORTS CENTRE

We are delighted to announce that, in line with the latest recovery phase implemented by the Government, the Community Centre is now open to facilitate visitors from across the country. Outdoor activities including tennis, bowling, mini-golf and playground facilities are available, and many of our regular exercise classes will once again operate in the Centre itself – follow out Facebook page for details or contact the Centre on 9132202.

Our Summer programme for July and August will include a variety of workshops and camps, with much loved familiar faces returning alongside some exciting newcomers; events will include drama camps, art and craft workshops, sporting activities and much, much more. Full details will be available in our Summer brochure, both online and from the Centre itself. Follow our Facebook page (Rosslare Strand) for details.

As we continue to remain vigilant in our adherence to HSE guidelines, some events may not be possible this year due to social distancing issues, but we will do our utmost to ensure an activity-filled summer season for all the family.

Our access for all garden remains a permanent attraction and is an ideal spot to meet up with a friend; settle on a bench with a coffee and admire the handywork of our green-fingered volunteers.

All donations towards the upkeep of the grounds are very welcome; a donation point is located in the garden. And while you’re there, why not call in to New2U charity shop, with its everchanging range of seasonal bargains.

All of our facilities will continue to operate with strict adherence to the current social distancing and hygiene regulations and we ask that all participants read the activity guidelines in advance; these can be found on our website www.rosslareholidayresort. ie and are prominently displayed at the Centre, and at the entrances to each facility. All activities must be pre-booked by calling the Community Centre on 053 9132202; with the increase in visitor numbers, this is particularly important.

To compensate for the lack of facilities to date, we have taken the decision to offer annual memberships for 2020 at hugely reduced prices; our very popular family membership can now be purchased for a very reasonable €60; membership offers the whole family unlimited use of the tennis courts, crazy golf, bowling, running track and playground (subject to availability). Tennis and Bowling memberships are also available at significantly reduced rates; call us on 9132202 for more information.

The board and staff at RCDA would like to thank you all for your patience to date, and look forward to making Summer 2020 one to remember for all our visitors.
