Senator Malcolm Byrne, Craig Lang and Liz Byrne judged the bonnet competition. They also received some financial support from Wexford County Council.

The Riverchapel and Courtown Ladies Club team at Relay for Life Wexford is called ‘Gloria’s Angel Warriors’ in honour of Sandra’s late sister Gloria who lost her battle to cancer in November, 2023.

“Gloria had a celebration of life party in October which raised €3000 for Relay for Life Wexford 2024 and would have loved to be joining us this year. Our nephew Anthony McCarthy lost his battle against cancer on January 10, 2024 aged 37 and Eithne Meleady, Tina Fox’s sister lost her battle in February. We’re heartbroken beyond words on the loss of these amazing people. We relay to celebrate all those cancer survivors on our team and remember all those we have loved and lost,” said Sandra.
