As we approach the golden jubilee of the first Senior Football title for Kilanerin the club are planning a number of commemorative events to honour the team and management of 1974.

The first of these events takes place on Sunday 28ththis April in Murphys Bar Kilanerin from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m and the sub committee invite the players, management and supports to reminisce about the journey leading up to the victory the triumphant day of October 27th and the ensuing celebrations,

In an effort to preserve these precious memories for further generations we will be recording the shared stories to produce a commemorative video.

We look forward to celebrating this milestone with those who made it possible and creating a lasting tribute to the team of 1974.

PUBLIC MEETING

A public meeting of Kilanerin Church community will take place on Thursday 18th April at 8.30 p.m in Shamrock Hall Kilanerin.

On the agenda will be the accounts from 2023, elect a committee to oversee Finance, Property and fundraising, Information on new parish structure to come into being this Summer and how we can help. Revamp or renew a parish membership drive and registeration. Form and train a liturgy group to help with worship and services in our churches, Information on Diocesan Lay Leadership Training programme.

A similar meeting for the community of Ballyfad will take place on Thursday 25th April in the Hall Ballyfad at 8.30 p.m.

KILANERIN CHURCH

Morning mass Tuesday and Friday 9.30 a.m. Saturday night 6.30 p.m. months mind mass Mary Sheridan Curragh, Sunday 11 a.m. anniversary mass John and Julia Bolger Clonsilla their daughter Julia and deceased members of the Bolger family. Eucharistic adoration on Tuesday from after morning mass to 9 p.m.

BALLYFAD CHURCH

Morning mass Wednesday and Thursday 9.30 a.m. Saturday 7.30 p.m. Sunday 9 a.m. Eucharistic adoration on Wednesday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

WHIST

Whist every Wednesday night at 8 p.m. in Shamrock Hall Kilanerin all welcome.
