FIRST HOLY COMMUNION

First Holy Communion is on Sunday, 5th May is in Castledock­rell Church at 9.30am and Saturday, 11th May is in Marshalsto­wn Church at 11am. First confession­s are in Marshalsto­wn on Tuesday, 23rd April at 7pm. (First confession­s were in Castledock­rell on Tuesday, 12th March).

MOBILE LIBRARY

The Mobile Library will be visiting Castledock­rell village on Thursday 25th April 4.15 – 5p.m.

PRAYER GROUPS

Castledock­rell Prayer Group meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 8pm in the Parish Hall. Marshalsto­wn Prayer Group meets every Tuesday morning from 9am to 9.30am (before morning Mass). All are welcome to attend one or both.

SYMPATHY

FAMILY MASSES

Castledock­rell church a Family Mass is celebrated every month during the school year on the third Sunday of the Month. Next one is Sunday, 21st April at 9.30a.m. All families form the Pastoral area are welcome.

HOLY HOUR

A Holy Hour to pray for Vocations will be held in St. Aidan’s on Sunday, 21st April at 3pm to mark World Day of Prayer for Vocations 2024.

NOTES DEADLINE

Notes deadline is now Sunday 6p.m. (time I need the notes by). Items received after that time will be included in the following week’s notes if date of event has not passed. It is 6p.m. Thursday before bank holiday. Thanks for your co-operation.

MASS TIMES

Weekend Masses in Marshalsto­wn 7.30pm on Saturdays and Vigil of Holy Days and in Castledock­rell at 9.30am on Sundays and Holy Days. During the week Mass in Marshalsto­wn is on Tuesday mornings at 9.30am and in Castledock­rell on Thursdays at 9.30am followed by Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 10an- 12noon. Any change in weekday Mass will be announced at previous weekend Mass where possible.

CONFESSION­S

The Sacrament of Confession­s for the Pastoral area are available in St. Aidan’s Cathedral on Friday and Saturday morning after 10am Mass in the Prayer Room. And before Saturday evening Mass at 5.30pm in the Confession Box to the left of the altar.

SICK CALLS & VISITATION­S

If someone previously was on the sick call list and since the developmen­t of the pastoral area is no longer getting a visit or if you or a family member wish to be added to our sick call list please contact the office at St. Aidan’s and we will gladly arrange that for you.

If anyone requires a pastoral visit from one of the priests please contact St. Aidan’s Parish office on 0539235777. For pastoral visits to patients in hospitals please ask staff member to contact hospital chaplain.

Deadline for items for Parish newsletter­s including Anniversar­y Masses is Wednesday at 5p.m. Anniversar­y Masses for Castledock­rell church should be booked at least two weeks or more in advance of the date required for names to appear in the newsletter. Items received after this time will be held over to the following week.
