In 1852, Patrick Egan Sr established P&H Egan Ltd. in Tullamore, County Offaly, the beating heart of 19th century Ireland. Fifty years later, at the turn of the 20th century, the Egans’ family business had become one of the most well-known brands throughout the midlands of Ireland.
The Egan legacy and their traditions have been carried forward by a family with Irish whiskey in their blood, and it has led to some truly exquisite blends. Egan’s Vintage Grain shows dedication to the extraordinary industry and endeavour of the Egan forefathers. Aged in bourbon casks and with a nose of vanilla and hints of caramel, this Single Grain is sweet and characterful, with a charming complexity.
We’d also recommend picking up a bottle of Egan’s 10 Year Old Single Malt. Six generations in the making, this ten year old single malt represents the best that six generations of the Egan family have to offer. Amber-like in colour, with a delicate aroma, this 10 Year Old is malty and creamy, with hints of cereal, as well as a smooth silkiness. It also has a big finish and what appears to be an endless aftertaste.
