Aer Lingus has added to its list of North American destinations with the summer of 2019 seeing the introduction of direct flights from Dublin to Minneapolis St Paul and Montreal, which is one of Hot Travel’s favourite places to watch ice hockey (come on you Canadiens!) and munch poutine, the waistline-threatening French Fries, cheese curd and brown gravy combo that’s traditionally consumed after a tankerload of Le Cheval Blanc beer.

Getting from Dublin-Lisbon will hopefully become even cheaper next April with TAP’s double-daily service to and from the Portuguese capital providing Ryanair and Aer Lingus with some stiff competition.

Thirty-three thousand mourners poured through the museum’s doors on August 16 when the exhibition opened early in response to the Queen of Soul’s death.

It’s the prelude to a larger, permanent tribute due in early 2020.

After its 1970s car manufacturing decline, the Motor City was a desolate and sometimes dangerous place to visit, but is now regenerating at a furious pace with the Hitsville USA Motown Museum another musical must-visit.

Game Of Thrones fans will be able to visit the locations used for Winterfell, Castle Black and Kings Landing as part of a Northern Irish ‘legacy’ project announced last week by HBO who will also be offering guided tours of their Linen Mill Studios production HQ at some point in 2019.

A fully functional 24 feet tall bong is the centrepiece of the Cannabination Cannabis Museum, which has just opened in Las Vegas. They’ve also managed to track down the famous Red Shark Chevrolet Caprice, which accompanied Hunter S. Thompson on his Fear And Loathing… odyssey.
