Cork’s 8,000-capacity Independent (neé Musgrave) Park is being pressed into rock ‘n’ roll action next summer.

First up on June 22 with special guests Sigrid and All Tvvins are The Coronas who are followed three days later by Hozier who’s invited Maggie Rogers to open for him.

Fears that the Bray singer-songwriter wouldn’t be able to follow up ‘Take Me To Church’ have been allayed by the 25 million – and rising – Spotify plays ‘Nina Cried Power’ has amassed.

His new album is due in March.

A little promoting dickie-bird also tells us there may be outdoor shows next year in Shamrock Rovers’ Tallaght Stadium.
