Whole Lotta Love
Stuart Clark is besotted with Amazon Prime's latest offering.
Amazon Prime’s adaptation of the
New York Times’ romance and dating column, Modern Love, has commenced shooting in New York with Once and
Sing Street director John Carney at the helm. The seriously A-List cast is headed by Anne Hathaway and Tina
Fey with Dublin actor Andrew Scott also making a guest appearance, and Sharon Horgan penning one of the episodes.
With Kurt long since retired, Nextflix has commissioned a Young Wallender series, which finds Henning Mankell’s iconic Swedish detective investigating his gripping first case. A bit of Nordic licence is being taken with the sixparter set in the present day rather than the ‘60s when Wallender actually joined the Ystad Police Department.
Six Feet Under’s Lauren Ambrose,
Game Of Thrones’ Nell Tiger Free and
Harry Potter star Rupert Grint have been confirmed as the leads in the as-yet-untitled psychological thriller that M. Night Shyamalan is bringing to Apple’s streaming service.
The Indian-born, American-domiciled director also hits the big screen next year with the James McAvoy, Samuel L. Jackson and Bruce Willis superhero vehicle, Glass.
