Predicting fashion directions, new styles and trending colours are all in a day’s work for the Wella Professionals Style Council. Working at the cutting edge of trends, perpetually developing new colour and cutting concepts, not to mention creating tailored services for their own demanding client lists and running their own salons, the Style Council represents a group of Ireland’s most prolific hairdressing talent.

“We are enormously proud to collaborate with some of the finest names in the Irish industry,” says Wella Professionals Studio Leader Cleo McCormack, who works alongside the Style Council with the team at Wella Professionals to support salons, whether in the form of creative inspiration or with new techniques, services or business education. Each is renowned for injecting their own unique personality into their creative vision,

and regularly teach groups of hairdressers in the Wella Studio on the latest cutting, couture colouring and styling techniques. They travel extensively throughout the country to the platform on shows and seminars to share their colour and styling expertise. “They are truly passionate about this area of their work,” says Cleo, “and enjoy nothing more than sharing their skills and knowledge with fellow hairdressers keen to be inspired.”

The Style Council and legendary hairstylist Bruce Masefield collaborated on the creative shoot on the following pages in the Wella Studio Dublin, working with photographer Barry McCall, stylist Alison Conneely and make-up artist Leonard Daly. Model looks were created using Wella’s Illumina Color Opal Essence and styled with Wella’s vibrant EIMI range. Inspired by Calvin Klein’s 1990s nonchalance, innovative styling meets original colour techniques – all the makings of the Style Council.
