When was the last time you curled up with a good book? Reading has been shown to put our brains into a trancelike state, similar to meditation, and it brings the same health benefits of deep relaxation and inner calm. Regular readers sleep better, have lower stress levels, higher self-esteem, and lower rates of depression than non-readers. Life can be hectic as we scramble to keep up with a digital world, so it makes sense that more and more of us are seeking solace in the joy of books. This is why we’re thrilled to announce a partnership with An Post, sponsor of the Irish Book Awards.

Together, we’re setting up a book club with a difference – an InstaStory Club, where we’ll be talking to some of our favourite writers about their love of the written word and we will share all the details on our social media channels. You’ll also get a chance to ask questions of your favourite authors, so stay tuned to @image.ie on Instagram for all the details.

Excited already? Us too. But there’s more. On September 21, we’re hosting an exclusive morning event with bestselling author and friend of IMAGE, Cecelia Ahern. She’ll be chatting about her brand new novel, Postscript – the sequel to PS I Love You. You’ll even get a chance to see the latter on the big screen. Don’t forget your tissues!
